About

Legacy Structures is a Christchurch-based structural engineering consultancy. Since its establishment in 2024, we have been involved in projects ranging from house alterations to large-scale industrial facilities that span across 4 countries, totalling over $100m in construction costs.

The Goal

To turn complex engineering problems into simple constructable solutions that cater for the specific project demands.

We believe the best structures are those where technical expertise meets practical reality. By developing an early understanding of the project drivers, integrating with other disciplines and respecting the logistics of the construction site, we ensure our designs are as efficient to build as they are enduring. At Legacy Structures, our name is our promise: to leave behind work that is a credit to the entire project team.

Why Choose Legacy Structures

Legacy Structures has an excellent understanding of the New Zealand and Pacific construction landscapes, bringing a wealth of knowledge around domestic construction materials and local supply chain pinch-points that affect project programme and constructability.

We thrive in a project team and know that good, clear communication and collaboration through the design process saves an exponential amount of time and effort through the construction phase.

Our network through other project partners and engineering disciplines means that we have access to additional expertise should the project require. These strong relationships also mean that we have developed a well-rounded understanding of a project and are conscious of the impact our design has on other disciplines.

We welcome a challenge and strive for the most cost-effective solution for the projects’ specific demands.
